Review Summary: Not as great every bit "Way of the Fist" and "War is the Answer", simply still listenable... Five Finger Decease Punch's "American Capitalist" is the third studio anthology in the band's discography. It's an album that I really had loftier hopes for because of how crawly their second studio album, "War Is The Answer", turned out and I couldn't look to hear their new material at the time. I was immediately disappointed when I heard the intro riffs to the first ii songs on the album ("American Capitalist", "Nether and Over Information technology")... the riffs sounded very Similar to each other! The only tiny differences are that the rhythms of both riffs are slightly altered, but are played in the same position on a seven string guitar. I know this considering I play guitar (I've been a guitarist for the past 8 years) and I learned both riffs by ear. From that point, I knew this album wasn't going to have that aforementioned artistic, inspired charm that "War Is The Respond" and "Way Of The Fist" had. Non that I expected for "American Capitalist" to sound like to the two previous albums. I merely expected for Five Finger Decease Punch to treat each song on "American Backer" the manner they did in their other albums. The vocal writing instrumentally and lyrically just seemed a scrap dull and uninspired in some parts. Information technology was almost like they didn't spend as much time writing the songs on this album similar they did with the others. It may have been because they were rushed to stop the album to meet tour dates and/or studio deadlines. I don't know if that was the case. I certain seems that way. Despite the starting time two songs having similar sounding intro riffs, "American Capitalist" as a whole isn't a total let down. Most of the songs on the album are melodic, catchy, well written and Jason Claw's pb guitar playing is amazing as usual. Songs like "Coming Down", "Remember Everything", and "Under and Over It" are the ones that I enjoyed the near from the album and they're the songs that I recommend to check out. Would I recommend anyone buying or checking out "American Capitalist"? Yep indeed, I would! It may not exist their greatest work, in my opinion, but it'southward still a expert album to listen to every now and and so. other reviews of this album PatrickMulvihill (3) Death Punch doesn't mature much only they do provide a few powerful, standout tracks that volition please...Muse1748 (three.five) FFDP do what they know how to and mostly succeed. Don't await annihilation revolutionary and things wil...Anacreor (3.5) Non actually original, the same no bullshit-approach, but a tad more melodic and groovy. Five Finger D...NeoSpaz (two) Hate the mode y'all pussies talk shit, hiding on the web... |
Album Rating: 1.0 oh human fuck this band | | | Review needs a lot of work frankly. Can drop some feedback in a flake | | | Album Rating: iii.five Game's right, could use piece of work. Commencement off, avert putting song titles and album names in italics. It'due south disruptive to the reader and it looks sloppy. Put song titles in italics and exercise something else for anthology names. 2d off, the review simply feels rushed. I'm a fan of the band, and while I agree that the riffs for the first two songs do audio the same, you needed to expand a lot more on how the album sounded as a whole, and not just individual songs. Believe me, it'due south much more than effective to go through the anthology every bit a whole. What I would suggest is one paragraph for the album as a whole, and some other for standout tracks. Game, you are a more experienced reviewer than me, so right whatsoever of this you don't agree with. Likewise, elaborate more on the overall audio: they've got some bully riffs and solos, but don't only talk well-nigh the guitar specifically, endeavour and include vocals and things like that. Also, specific examples of things you didn't like would help likewise. Why does the songwriting seem dull and uninspired lyrically? And recommended tracks are great to explain also, why do you recommend those songs for the listener? It's not terrible or bad, and for a first review, you did well. No pos or neg, cause it could use some work, merely good endeavour. | | | Album Rating: 3.5 meant quotations not italics haha pitiful tour that | | | Album Rating: 1.0 Not a slap-up review, bud. There are things in this review that the reader wouldn't care most, for instances no 1 cares about how long you've been playing guitar, people want to read well-nigh the pros and cons of the album in question. Your review also doesn't really tell me a damn matter almost the songs or the album at all, really, a part from the start 2 songs sounding similar. Notwithstanding, I've read worse first reviews. Just some stuff to take on board for review number two, human being. | | | Album Rating: 1.0 Also, just my opinion, only this band is fucking horrible. lol | | | To analyze metalheadrunner's first point, I'd suggest vocal titles in quotations and album titles in italics. They'll distinctly differ and nevertheless stand out in the reading. | | | Album Rating: one.0 This band is everything that is wrong with modern metal Bland, bromidic songwriting? check! Overly macho lyrics? bank check! The same anticipated formula used in every vocal? check! | | | Anthology Rating: 1.0 Agreed on every bespeak fabricated Tuna. Ring is truly, truly bad. | | | kinda like war is the answer but other than that I don't much care for em | | | Digging: Blind Girls - The Weight of Everything | | | Album Rating: 1.5 The Pride is laughably bad. Review could use a bit piece of work, I'll elaborate if you wish. | | | oh human fuck this band [two] | | | The whole flake virtually you lot being able to play the guitar is almost irrelevant. It'southward all very well that you lot can play the guitar, but remember; people wanna read about the album, not well-nigh you. | | | Also, don't use exclamation marks in serious reviews. Information technology looks very apprentice. Won't neg seeing equally it'southward your first review simply you're gonna have to brand some improvements. | | | |
